Light

I wrote this poem while recovering from a very frustrating injury...like it or loath it...here it is. Enjoy!

Light


The night holds its own, silent and cold.
Midnight blue shades the horizon
Without warning, light melts down the hills, burning at the heels of darkness like a lava flow.
Where can it go from the lights presence?
Can darkness hide?

Light soon envelops the mountain and runs down further, now to the valley.
It's been cold for so long.
Warmth breathes on the waters, whispers through the trees and glazes over the grassy meadows.
Light greets the wind.
Wild flowers break free from the heavy dew, swaying back and forth in a rainbow of colour.

Life stirs
All the creatures reach for the dawn.
Light. What is more majestic?

Now here I stand in awe of the sunrise in all its splendor.
The sun.
The Son.

I heart Jesus

I just love this version of this song and long for the day people can be free in worship like this. When I watch this video I feel the freedom and liberty they are worshipping in and it stirs my heart! Enjoy.

Let's put our lives into perspective

This should give us all hope. I was so moved when I saw this. I can't find the version I was after, but isn't this guy amazing?! We are so blessed. Lets not waste our lives.

Things I'm Loving Right Now

I just can't get enough of my Christmas present. A DVD of John Mayer: Acoustic, Trio and band. This guy is super talented!
Flowers! Aaah how I love them.

Moving house: Here is my slave for the day helping us move.

We moved alot when we were younger and it's fun to throw out things and start anew.

It was like discovering hidden treasure when I came across these aged bottles that my mum used to collect. I love them SO much, not just because they are beautiful, but because they remind me of her.

Ouch to my eye - but more ouch to my head!

Feeling alive! I recently had bad concussion from wiping out and nose diving while bodyboarding.

I seriously thought I had broken my neck, until I realised, well, I hadn't! The worst part was sleeping and being dizzy for a week! I still feel a bit duh ( maybe that's just normal!)

I love my bodyboard and flippers! Once I'm better it's back to the waves!

The ocean! Who doesn't love the majestic beauty of the waves and long walks on a sandy beach?! :)

It was all water under the bridge...or off a ducks back...or so I thought...then, a can of dairy whip which was used for apple crumble, became the next weapon all I had for defence was left over sour cream from the nacho dinner!
