Just when you thought it was over
It was all water under the bridge...or off a ducks back...or so I thought...then, a can of dairy whip which was used for apple crumble, became the next weapon all I had for defence was left over sour cream from the nacho dinner!

We are so young...NOW!
A couple of Weeks ago I was really challenged. Everywhere I went I seemed to notice elderly people. So I thought to myself, "Hmmm, God trying to get my attention much?!"
Funny how we take so much for granted. I saw a little old lady slowly dismount from her sweet ride on buggy thing. I looked at her and wondered. What's her story? If she could tell me, I wonder what her regrets are? What did she dream for her life as a young woman? What is important to her now?
I've always had a deep respect for the elderly. People often write them off, but how awesome they are! They have lived through reccession, depressions, wars. The fact is, we have no idea how rich their life experiences have been and how much they can teach us! Wisdom.
In high school, my friend had this shirt that said: 'To be old and wise, you must first be young and stupid.' It made me chuckle to read it, but it is so not true! To make a wise decision instead of a stupid, potentially life destroying one is wise and sometimes requires taking up courage.
I don't know about you, but I want to LIVE my life. I appreciate that we all can learn from other peoples mistakes, pick up good habits, throw away bad ones. Encourage one another, and love unconditionally! That's our job. To love and to be obedient to God. In the small things that is where it starts.
I challenge you to listen out for what God is saying to you...it might be a tiny little request...do it!
And be nice to older people..they have alot to offer..find out some wisdom from them.

Proverbs 24 verse 3-6:
Through wisdom a house is built,
And by understanding it is established;
By knowledge the rooms are filled
With all precious and pleasant riches.
A wise man is strong,
Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength;
For by wise counsel you will wage your own war,
And in a multitude of counselors there is safety.
